Autism Alliance
We Are Diverse But Not Divided
The AABA recognised that there was a need to bring together key autism organisations representing people on the autism spectrum, their parents and carers, service providers and researchers with the common aim to realise the potential of autistic Australians.
In 2015, the Advisory Board initiated an invitation to key autism groups to establish the “Australian Autism Alliance”.
The Australian Autism Alliance was formally established in August 2016 to be one strong voice for autism.
The members represent a cohesive national network of key organisations with a diverse focus on autism – that is led by autistic people, advocacy groups, peak bodies, service providers and researchers.
Most importantly, their work is informed by autistic people and their families and carers.
As of 1st July 2024, the Alliance is a funded Disability Representative Organisation.
